• Welcome to the Project Based Learning Toolkit!

Imagine students engaged in meaningful, memorable learning experiences that offer them unique opportunities to express themselves, earn credits in multiple subjects, and develop skills and dispositions key to postsecondary success. Project Based Learning (PBL) turns this image into action and this Toolkit contains the guidance and resources you need to get started!

The PBL Toolkit addresses the What, Why, and How of project based learning. It is primarily for building administrators and teachers who want to learn how to effectively implement PBL, but heads up counselors, social workers, community partners, and district administrators. Projects often extend beyond the classroom and involve social-emotional and career-related learning, so this Toolkit is for you too.

  • The PBL Toolkit was developed by educators, expert consultants, and staff in èßäapp¹ÙÍø’ Multiple Pathways to Graduation (MPG) department through PREP (personalized, relevant, engaged for postsecondary) a project funded by the Education Innovation Research (EIR) grant program of the U.S. Department of Education.
